FCE Professor Featured on Univision’s Despierta America’s Panel Discussion on School Safety
Maribel Del Rio-Roberts, Psy.D., Assistant Professor, at NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education, was invited to participate in a panel discussion on Univision’s Despierta America, on how to protect our children in schools and identifies several key areas that parents should consider.
The multiple school shootings during 2017 and 2018 have prompted the adoption of new safety protocols in the classrooms. The panel discusses what measures guarantee the physical and mental protection of our children that have been recently put in place.
Dr. Del Rio-Roberts is a licensed Florida Psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and families. She also has received specialized training on the Autism diagnostic assessment. Additionally, she has served as a consultant at the Special Olympic of Florida, Miami – Dade County’s Early Head Start Programs and for the State of Florida’s Agency for Persons with Disabilities.
