FBI Special Agent to Speak at Huizenga Business School, Oct. 5

John V. Gillies, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) at the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Miami, will be the speaker at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship’s Distinguished Lecture Series on Oct. 5 at 10:30 a.m. The lecture will be held in the Grand Room of the Sales Institute on the third floor of the Carl DeSantis Building. The lecture is free and open to the NSU community and the public.
Gillies will speak on “Corruption, Ethics and Its Effect on the Business Environment.” He has been with the FBI since 1983 and initially served as a financial analyst before becoming a special agent in 1985. Gillies investigated white collar crime and public corruption matters for the Albany Division, counterintelligence matters at the New York Division, public corruption and complex financial crimes with the Honolulu Division, and many other assignments and achievements including the indictment and conviction of three California Superior Court judges while investigating bank failures and judicial corruption at the San Diego Division. He joined the Miami Division in September 2009.
