More than 400 NSU undergraduate students earned the Dean’s List for the Winter 2011 semester, an outstanding academic accomplishment. The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences hosted a ceremony recognizing the students on Oct. 24. Students attending the ceremony were joined in celebration by college administration, faculty members, friends, and family members.

“There are tremendous challenges in college, and the fact that you’re here today speaks volumes to your success,” said Don Rosenblum, Ph.D., dean of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, who opened the ceremony. Rosenblum also recognized the various faculty and family members who provide support and mentorship for the students and aid in their success.

To earn the Dean’s List, students must be enrolled full-time (12 or more credits) at NSU, earn at least a 3.5 GPA for the previous semester, and receive no incomplete grades.

After Rosenblum’s welcoming remarks, each student in attendance walked across the stage and received recognition for their achievement. The Dean’s List students then joined faculty and family members for a reception.
