Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Celebrates Achievements of Dean’s List Students

Deans List Ceremony

More than 600 undergraduate students from the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences earned the Dean’s List for the fall 2012 semester. The college honored these outstanding students at a ceremony and reception at NSU on Feb. 19. The students were joined in celebration by friends, family members, faculty, and college leadership.

“It is a pleasure to see so many familiar faces here today,” said Don Rosenblum, Ph.D., dean of the college, who opened the ceremony. “To our new students, I hope this marks the first of many Dean’s List celebrations for you.”

Rosenblum also recognized the various faculty and family members who provide support and mentorship for the students, aiding in their success. To earn the Dean’s List, undergraduate students must be enrolled full-time (12 or more credits) at NSU, earn at least a 3.5 GPA for the semester, and receive no incomplete grades.

The ceremony continued with each student walking across the stage and receiving recognition for their academic achievement. A reception for the students and their guests followed the main ceremony.
