FAMTE’s Doctoral Student of the Year Award
The Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (FAMTE) has established the Doctoral Student of the Year Award. The Award is given on an annual basis with recognition of the recipient at the annual meeting of FAMTE during the Florida Council of Teachers of Mathematics (FCTM) annual conference. Two NSU doctoral students were awarded:
Shade Adetoro – Research area: STEM Education for Minority Women Using Innovative Technology
Nadine Anderson – Research area: Utilizing Innovative Technology in Middle School Mathematics Classrooms
The purpose of this award is to acknowledge a mathematics education doctoral student who has shown active involvement in mathematics education at the university, state, and/or national level and who shows potential for success in the field across the areas of teaching, research and service.
