Family Day | Against the Grain: Wood in Contemporary Art, Craft, and Design, Oct. 25

Nova Southeastern University’s Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale
Take advantage of today’s Teacher Planning Day with a trip to the Art Museum! Families will have a chance to view the new exhibition Against the Grain and explore a variety of hands-on activities based on artists in the exhibition. Build a collaborative woodblock sculpture inspired by Jackie Ferrara, design your own woodgrain veneer landscape inspired by Alison Elizabeth taylor and experience the tools of the trade as you chisel, whittle, sand, rasp, carve, drill and saw.
This event is free with paid museum admission.
