Faculty Receive Fellowship from American Academy of Optometry
Four faculty members from NSU’s College of Optometry recently received fellowships from the American Academy of Optometry during its 2010 annual meeting in San Francisco. Those faculty members are: Maria Mandese, O.D., FAAO; Erin Jenewein, M.S., O.D., FAAO; Marissa Perez, O.D., FAAO; and Melissa Misko, O.D., FAAO.
Founded in 1922, the American Academy of Optometry is committed to promoting the art and science of vision care through lifelong learning. The letters “FAAO” (Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry) after an optometrist, scientist or other qualified person’s name signify to colleagues and patients that rigorous qualifications have been met.
All members of the Academy, including many members of the NSU optometry faculty, are dedicated to the highest standards of optometric practice through clinical care, education or research.
