Experience How Love Can Alter Lives; See Stop Kiss, Apr. 9

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts will present its production of Stop Kiss, Apr. 9-11. The performances will take place in the Black Box Theatre of the college’s Performing and Visual Arts Wing in the Don Taft University Center.

Written by Diana Son, Stop Kiss captures the story of unexpected love between two friends, Callie and Sara. Their first kiss provokes a violent attack, transforming their lives in ways neither could have anticipated. Variety calls Stop Kiss “a poignant and funny play about the ways, both sudden and slow, that lives can change irrevocably.”

Show times for Stop Kiss, part of the college’s Premier Series, are:

  • 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 9
  • 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 10
  • 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 11.

Admission is free, but tickets are required. To reserve seats, call (954) 262-8179.

The college’s Division of Performing and Visual Arts presents outstanding theatrical, musical, dance, and visual arts productions throughout each academic year. These performances and events serve as co-curricular opportunities for students to gain practical experience and provide the NSU community with a local resource for educational – and entertaining – performing and visual arts presentations. The college also offers undergraduate majors in theatre, art, arts administration, dance, and music. For more information, visit www.fcas.nova.edu/performingarts.
