Nova Southeastern University rower Hannah DiLorenzo organized and hosted the “Every Meter Matters Row for a Cure” event on Saturday, March 19, raised nearly $1,800 for the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“The support we received today from NSU athletic teams and community members was truly overwhelming,” said DiLorenzo. “We have started something here at NSU that will hopefully continue annually as a team.”

The event, held at the Don Taft University Center, featured music, food, giveaways and more. The NSU rowing team was onsite to teach attendees how to row. Individuals had the opportunity to race against the team, their fellow teammates and their friends and family. Numerous Shark student-athletes and coaches also attended to take part and show their support.
