An Evening with Author Michael Connelly, May 21

Michael Connelly

NSU and Boardroom Communications will host “An Evening with Author Michael Connelly” on Tuesday, May 21 at NSU’s Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale. Proceeds will benefit Broward bulldog.org, an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing local watchdog reporting in the public interest.

Best-selling author Michael Connelly will discuss growing up in Fort Lauderdale, his career as a newspaper reporter in South Florida and Los Angeles and how this led to his award-winning career as a crime fiction writer.

Considered an heir to Raymond Chandler, Connelly also will discuss his novels about LAPD detective Harry Bosch and lawyer Mickey Haller, both of which have earned numerous awards and regularly land on the New York Times Best Sellers List.

A question and answer session follows our program led by South Florida mystery fiction columnist Oline Cogdill.

Ticket Options:

Meet Michael Connelly at a 5:30 p.m. VIP Cocktail Reception. An $85 ticket includes drinks and hors d’oeuvres at reception, upfront seating for program in auditorium and priority access at book signing.

General admission tickets to the 6:30 p.m. program and book signing are $30; $20 for students with ID; $35 at the door. NSU students can get an extra $5 off the $20 student rate by entering NSU under “Enter promotional code” to save $5.

After Party: Enjoy a beverage or glass of wine after the program for $10 with ticket, available in advance only.

Note: Many of Connelly’s best-selling titles, including “The Black Box,” will be available for purchase at the event from Murder on the Beach Mystery Bookstore.
