NSU Student-Athlete, Erin Black, Wins Individual National Title in 500 Freestyle

Coming into the championship finals with the third best preliminary time in the women’s 500 freestyle, Erin Black (Jr., Ft. Myers, Fla.) made waves in the pool tonight by winning the championship final and claiming the individual national title in the event. Qualifying in the morning preliminaries with a time of 4:55.38, she cut nearly 6 seconds off her championship run finishing with a time of 4:49.86, which was also a personal best time. The win earned her a second First-Team All-America honor this week.
