Erin Black Picks Up Women’s Swimming Weekly Award
Nova Southeastern senior Erin Black (Fort Myers, Fla.) has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week presented by VALIC.
Black picked up three victories and a pair of NCAA “B” qualifying times during the Sharks’ 159-46 win over Saint Leo. Black earned individual victories with a time of 5:01.88 in the 500-yard freestyle and 10:27.88 in the 1,000 freestyle. Both of those performances met the Division II “B cut” standards. She also joined the 200-yard freestyle relay team for a first-place time of 1:40.38.
The Sharks will swim again on Saturday Nov. 3, in Winter Park, Fl. in a competition against the Rollins Tars at 1 p.m. Click here to read the complete release.
