Entrepreneurship Students Attend Class On-Site at City Furniture

City Furniture cofounder and CEO Keith Koenig presented on lean management to students from the M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship program.

Students toured the City Furniture distribution center in Tamarac.

A class of students from the M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship program at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship traveled to the City Furniture distribution center in Tamarac on May 1 to attend class.

Keith Koenig, cofounder and CEO of City Furniture, advisory board member for the Huizenga School’s M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship program, and Andrew Koenig, manager of delivery services at City Furniture, presented on the topic of lean management and how it has been used to transform the company. The class also toured the warehouse facility, gaining insights about the operations and business practices at City Furniture.

The class was organized by David Hinds, Ph.D., assistant professor of decision sciences and professor of the entrepreneurship / management class, and by Tom Tworoger, D.B.A., associate professor of entrepreneurship and chair of the entrepreneurship department. Keith Koenig is a member of the Huizenga School’s Entrepreneur Hall of Fame, and Andrew Koenig is a graduate of the school’s M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship program.
