Enter College’s Second Annual Writing Contest, Win Prize for Essay on Academic Theme, Deadline April 1

How has the college’s academic theme of “Life and Death” affected the way you live? Enter the Second Annual Farquhar Writing Contest and you can win up to a $100 gift card for your response. All NSU undergraduate students are invited to participate in the contest, hosted by the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences.

To enter, submit a personal essay (3–5 pages) that answers the following prompt discussing the 2012–2013 academic theme:

“How have cultural beliefs regarding the human life cycle and/or death informed your life experiences?”

The contest is free to enter, and prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place. Winners will also be announced online and in NSU’s student newspaper The Current, as well as honored at the Farquhar Writing Contest Reception in April.

For complete details and information on how to enter, visit the Farquhar Writing Contest Web page. The deadline to submit an essay is Friday, Apr. 1.
