USchool MerchMart2014 FRONT-4Mark your calendars for a spectacular day of shopping, food, and fun, as it is time for the 17th Annual University School Merchandise Boutique on Thursday, October 16.

This boutique, hosted by University School’s University Family Organization (UFO), will be held in the school’s Brown Sports Center (3375 SW 75 Avenue in Davie) from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and plenty of parking will be available in the West Parking Garage on the University School campus.

With more than 50 vendors selling merchandise for all tastes and budgets, this is an event not to be missed. The mart will help you get a jump start on your holiday shopping, featuring everything from unique home accents, jewelry, and handbags to apparel for the whole family, sports memorabilia, and so much more!

Be sure to bring an appetite, as the numerous food trucks and carts will serve an impressive array of delectable dishes and sweets. They will be located in the Center Circle in front of the Epstein Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The “USchool Sweet Shop” will also help satisfy the cravings of even the biggest chocoholics and sweets fanatics with baked goods including brownies, cookies, pies, cakes and candy.

The UFO, comprised of parents of students currently enrolled in University School, has made the boutique a successful tradition at the school for the past 17 years. The chairs for this year’s event include Boutique Chairs Jennifer Jackson and Shelley Goldstein; Food & Drink Chairs Nanci Africk, Lana Eichel, and Claudia Paris; and Sweet Shop chairs Mara Mittentag, Melissa Morim, Staci Schnell, and Eliza Egan Smith, all of whom are active members and volunteers of the UFO.
