Employee Seasonal Flu Shots, Oct. 14
The Office of Human Resources in conjunction with the NSU Wellness Committee, the Health Professions Division and ICUBA will provide free seasonal flu shots to employees again this year. We are providing four convenient ways for employees to obtain a flu shot so arm yourself and stay healthy!
On-site Employee Clinics:
Free seasonal flu shots are available to all employees at the on-site clinics; you don’t need to be covered under the NSU/ICUBA medical plan. You can come to one of the following locations:
- Oct. 14, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Fischler School, North Miami Beach, Conference room A & B
- Oct. 14, 4:00 – 6:00 pm, University School, NSU main campus, Senior Dining Commons.
Community Walgreens Location
Employees who are covered under the NSU/ICUBA medical plan and cannot go to these clinics for a flu shot can also obtain a free flu shot at participating Walgreens locations by presenting the WHI Pharmacy Benefit Card to the pharmacy personnel and they will take care of everything.
Participants can call 1-866-WHI-FLU1 (1-866-944-3581) or visit Walgreens.com/flu to find a participating Walgreens location.
Physician’s Office
Employees who are covered under the NSU/ICUBA medical plan can also obtain a flu shot from an in-network physician. The flu shot is free however, office visit co-payments and co-insurance will apply to the visit.
NSU Health and Wellness Expo on Oct. 26
At the NSU health and Wellness Expo, covered employees under the NSU/ICUBA medical plan can obtain a flu shot at the Walgreens booth. Non-covered employees can obtain their flu shots at the Nursing/Pharmacy booth.
