Drug Information Center at College of Pharmacy hosts Breakfast Forum

The Drug Information Center at NSU’s College of Pharmacy recently hosted a Breakfast Forum for faculty and students  at the Health Professions Division on main campus. The Forum served as an educational tool on the latest updates in pharmacy practice.  Student pharmacist Anllel Alfonso presented, “Targeting Medication Adherence as a Pharmacy-Based Public Health Initiative.”

Student pharmacists Sheikh Ahmed, Olurotimi Alade, and Idarmis Perez presented, “Implementation of Florida’s Prescription Drug Monitoring Program.”  Jennifer Fass, PharmD, CPh, Clinical Assistant Professor at NSU’s College of Pharmacy and Angela S. Garcia, PharmD, CPh, Assistant Professor at NSU’s College of Pharmacy coordinated this event.  Approximately 20 individuals were present including faculty and students in Ft. Lauderdale and the Palm Beach Student Educational Center.
