The new academic year has brought many exciting changes to the Dr. Pallavi Patel College of Health Care Sciences (PCHCS) Student Government Association (SGA). After undergoing a year of Constitution development, followed by a year of learning under the new Constitution, PCHCS student leaders have proven themselves up to these challenges.

In July 2017, each of the 17 PCHCS student program associations elected a new executive board of student leaders and a new president. For the first time, the PCHCS Office of Student Affairs hosted a President’s Transition Meeting, which brought together incoming and outgoing elected presidents to share important information and insights about preparing the new administration for its role.

The presidents discussed budget allocation decisions and spoke at length about the challenges and joys of SGA leadership. The event was a huge success and marked the beginning of a new year and new hopes for the college.
