Don’t Miss Dance Concert at NSU, April 5 and 6
The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences will conclude the 2012–2013 Premier Series with Dance Concert, an annual production featuring performances by the NSU Dance ensemble and choreography by college faculty and guest artists.
Dance Concert | Premier Series
Apr. 5–6
7:30 p.m.
Performance Theatre | Don Taft University Center
This year’s production includes works choreographed by Elana Lanczi, M.F.A., associate professor; Augusto Soledade, M.F.A., assistant professor; and Chetachi Egwu, Ph.D., assistant professor. Serving as guest choreographers are college alumna Amy Kolbenschlag (B.A., Dance, ’12) and Miami-based contemporary flamenco artist Niurca Marquez.
The concert also features an excerpt of Cordel, performed by members of the Augusto Soledade Brazz Dance Theater. Chetachi Egwu’s choreographed piece is a response to the life and death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, titled A City Lullaby.
Tickets
Dance Concert is open to the public, though tickets are required for admission. To purchase tickets, visit the college’s online Box Office. Based on ticket availability the day of the show, NSU students may be admitted for free (valid NSU ID required). Arrive at the theatre early for the latest ticket availability.
