Realizing Potential: Delta Dental Insurance Company awards grants to four outstanding NSU dental school students
Delta Dental Insurance Company has awarded each of four Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine recent graduates a $2,500 grant. This year’s recipients are Ashleigh Weyh, Kelly Cundy, John Aylmer, and Alexander Verga.
The 2016 F. Gene Dixon Student Leadership Awards recognize graduating dental students who demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities. Delta Dental established the awards in 1977 in memory of the late F. Gene Dixon, D.S.D., the first chief executive officer of Delta Dental of California, which is now part of the largest dental benefits delivery system in the country.
“We’re pleased to recognize the leadership and service of these outstanding dental students and support their remarkable achievements by awarding them this grant,” said John Yamamoto, D.D.S., M.P.H., Delta Dental’s vice president of professional services.
