Cross Country Claims Third at Mountain Dew Invitational
The NSU men’s and women’s cross country teams each claimed third place Saturday at the University of Florida’s Mountain Dew Invitational.
The highest finish of the weekend for either team came from Alexandria Palm (Sr., Winnebago, Ill.), who claimed sixth place with a 6K time of 22:36.48. It is the fastest she has run in the 6K in a regular season race and the fourth-best time of her career. She now owns the six fastest 6K times in program history.
On the men’s side, Long Tran (Sr., Saigon, Vietnam) had a breakout race as the Sharks’ lead runner, claiming ninth overall. His time of 26:00.24 is the seventh best 8K time in program history and 46 seconds faster than his career-best time. Complete Release
