CPS Offers NCATE Accredited Programs
The Center for Psychological Studies’ M.S. in School Counseling and the Psy.S. in School Psychology programs for practitioners in P-12 schools, were both granted accreditation by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
NCATE is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as a professional accrediting body for teacher preparation. Including NSU, NCATE currently accredits more than 650 colleges of education. NCATE also represents more than 3 million teachers, teacher educators, content specialists, and local and state policy makers committed to quality teaching.
The accreditation for these programs was achieved in a collaborative effort with the Fischler School of Education and Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences.
