Computer Sciences School Faculty Member Participates as Judge in South Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair
Yair Levy, Ph.D., associate professor at NSU’s Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences, served as a judge during the 58th Annual South Florida Regional Science and Engineering Fair at Miami Dade College on Jan. 21.
This annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Expo is the culmination of projects completed as a result of classroom activities and/or students, parents and teachers participating in Saturday engineering design seminars, which are held throughout the year at member universities/colleges. These projects help open the doors to college scholarships and advanced academic studies as well as showcase the students’ vision and promote the understanding and appreciation of science and the vital role it plays in humanity.
The fair consisted of three competitions, including the Poster Board Project, the Research Paper and the International Bridge Building.
