Computer Sciences School Alumnus Speaks at Conference for Chief Security Officers
Mauricio Angée, an alumnus of NSU’s Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences, was the guest speaker during the CSO (Chief Security Officer) Perspectives Conference held April 5-7 in Naples, Fla.
Angée’s presentation was on “Total Intrusion Protection: A Holistic Approach for Protecting Information Assets.” During the session, security professionals learned how they can protect their organization from cyber threats, and how the emphasis should be shifted from a reactive posture to a proactive approach. He also discussed how an organization can develop centric intrusion prevention architecture, and implement layered security to build a highly protective environment.
Angée currently serves as Vice President, Information Security Manager at Mercantil Commercebank, one of the largest privately held banks in South Florida. Formerly, Angée was the former Chief Security Officer (CSO) at Universal Orlando Parks and Resorts where he was responsible for the Information Security operations, IT compliance, and risk management. He received his M.S. in Management Information Systems with a concentration in Information Security from NSU in 2007.
