Computer Sciences School Alumnus Receives Appointment at National Science Foundation
Dedric Carter, Ph.D., a graduate of NSU’s Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences (GSCIS), was appointed Senior Advisor for Strategic Initiatives at the National Science Foundation (NSF) in January 2011.
Prior to this appointment, Carter served as Assistant Dean of Engineering for Development and Strategic Initiatives at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); Lecturer, MIT Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science; and Executive Director, Office of Engineering Outreach Programs. He is also a former member of the GSCIS Board of Trustees.
Carter completed his Ph.D., in Information Systems in 2005 with his doctoral dissertation under the guidance of GSCIS Professor Marlyn Kemper Littman, Ph.D.
