Computer Sciences School Alumnus Named CIO at Columbia University
Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences alumnus Donald Lemma, Ph.D., has been appointed as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Associate Dean for Columbia University’s Business School, effective January 18.
As CIO, Lemma will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of all aspects of technology relating to teaching, faculty, research, students and administration.
Previous to his CIO appointment, Lemma was CIO and Director of Computing for the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, operated for the U.S. Department of Energy by Stanford University. Lemma completed his Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems from NSU in 1999.
