Computer Sciences Professor William Hafner Retires

Professor William Hafner, Ph.D., will be retiring from the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences in August, after fifteen years of service as a faculty member.

Prior to his academic career, Hafner had a long career in industrial software development, with senior development positions for major computer and telecommunications companies. Hafner was also a research scientist for the Department of Energy.

Over the years, Dr. Hafner’s research interests spanned a variety of information-related subfields, most recently concentrating in the increasingly important area of privacy.

We wish him well, with a retirement as private as he desires. Thank you, Bill for your service to NSU!
