Computer Sciences Professor Appointed to JRTE Editorial Board

Steve Terrell, Ph.D., professor at Nova Southeastern University’s Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences (GSCIS), has been appointed to the editorial board of the Journal of Research on Technology in Education (JRTE) from 2012 to 2014.

The JRTE is the International Society for Technology in Education’s academic journal of research on instructional uses of educational technology from around the world. JRTE features blind, peer-reviewed articles that report on original research, system or project descriptions and evaluations, syntheses of literature, assessments of the state of the art and theoretical or conceptual positions that relate to instructional uses of educational technology.

Terrell has been with GSCIS since 1988 and teaches quantitative methods and learning theory to students in the technology in education and information systems doctoral programs. Terrell is also the author of over 100 conference presentations, book chapters and journal articles primarily focusing on student motivation and the use of technology in the classroom. His current research interests include the investigation of attrition from distance-based graduate programs.
