Computer Science Professors Author Papers for Industry Conference
Two NSU Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences (GSCIS) professors, an alumnus, and a doctoral student recently authored papers that were published in the Proceedings of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) SoutheastCon 2010.
GSCIS professor Greg Simco, Ph.D., and associate professor Frank Mitropoulos, Ph.D., co-authored the paper “Using Aspects for Testing Nonfunctional Requirements in Object-Oriented Systems.” This paper was part of a continued effort in nonfunctional requirements research that the men worked on along with Salam Farhat, a GSCIS graduate assistant and doctoral student.
In a second paper, “Choke-based Switching Algorithm in Stochastic P2P Networks to Reduce File Download Duration,” GSCIS alum Michael Lehrfeld, Ph.D., and Simco refined their work in minimizing file download time in peer-to-peer networks.
