Computer and Information Sciences Doctoral Student Presents at ICIS

Simon Cleveland

Simon Cleveland, doctoral student at Nova Southeastern University’s Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences, presented during the International Research Workshop on IT Project Management (IRWITPM), a pre-conference event for the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) in Orlando on December 15. The paper was subsequently published within the Association of Information Systems, hosted by ICIS, the most prestigious gathering of information systems academics and research-oriented practitioners in the world.

The paper, entitled “Using Microblogging for Lessons Learned in Information Systems Projects,” discussed utilizing new information and communication technology (ICT) called microblogging as an effective tool to capture and disseminate project knowledge from the experienced project managers. The paper proposed research to validate whether microblogging is a useful platform for knowledge creation in information systems projects. Cleveland is pursuing his doctoral degree in information systems and holds the certification of Project Management Professional (PMP). He serves as an application analyst and project manager for the Collier County Government.”
