Office of Human Resources to host workshop: Communicating Through Conflict ™ Dec. 11

The Office of Human Resources will host, “Communicating through Conflict,” featuring renowned communications and conflict resolution expert and author Ronnie Moore on Tuesday, December 11. The workshop will be held from 1:00 – 2:55 p.m., in the PVA Performance Theater of the Taft University Center.

Moore will discuss how to communicate better and resolve conflict more effectively—even when dealing with difficult and destructive people. Here’s what you’ll learn (in less than two hours) in this presentation:

  • How to decide whether the conflict has to be resolved or can be ignored
  • Critical communication skills to resolve the conflicts that can’t be ignored
  • Instant insight and solutions to the three most common communication problems
  • Communicating with people who are not like you—dealing with different values, styles, and agendas
  • How to stop people from taking advantage of you: Communicating to take care of your interests too
  • When conflict will not resolve: when you’re at that point and what to do next

You’ve heard it before: “This will change your life.” It’s true in this case—Moore’s insights, tips, and tools will change your life.  Whether it’s your boss, employees, colleagues, friends, spouse, or family, you will leave this presentation empowered to stand your ground, communicate clearly and credibly, reduce your frustration, and increase the odds of improving or saving any relationship—at work and at home.

The Performance Theater does not have tables.  Please bring a notebook, pad, or laptop on which you can take notes—you won’t want to miss a thing!
