College of Pharmacy West Palm Beach Student and Faculty receive 2010 AACP Wal-Mart Scholarship

NSU College of Pharmacy West Palm Beach student Clayton Yu, class of  2011,  and West Palm Beach faculty mentor Stephanie L. Ballard, Pharm.D., assistant professor of pharmacy practice, have been selected for the 2010 American Association Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP )  Wal-Mart Scholars Program.

AACP and Wal-Mart share the commitment to help colleges and schools of pharmacy ensure there are an adequate number of well-prepared individuals who aspire to join expanding pharmacy programs across the country. The goal of this scholarship program is to strengthen the recipient’s skills and commitment to a career in academic pharmacy through participation in programming and activities at AACP annual meetings and seminars. The student/faculty receive $1,000 travel scholarships from AACP member institutions.  Congratulations to Yu and Ballard, who will represent the College of Pharmacy at this year’s AACP Annual Meeting and the AACP Teachers Seminar in Seattle in July.
