Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy Alumna, Licet Martel, Pharm.D., addressed attendees of the Latin Chamber of Commerce of Broward County (LCCB) Scholarship Luncheon held in May, 2011 at the Renaissance Plantation.  Martel was recipient of a LCCB scholarship in 2006 in partnership with NSU’s Health Professions Division (HPD) College of Pharmacy (COP).  Martel’s message to 2011 LCCB scholarship recipients reinforced the importance and meaning of scholarships, life-long learning and leadership roles in their personal and professional lives.  Martell shared some of her achievements made possible through the LCCB and NSU’s Health Professions Division and how the scholarship experience broadened her positive impact on public health and pharmacy careers.
