College of Osteopathic Medicine Student Named “Student D.O. of the Year”
Third-year NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine student, Lindsay LaCorte, was recently selected from a competitive group of applicants to receive the college’s 2010 Student D.O. of the Year award from her peers, joining an exceptional group of previous winners who have gone on to become respected leaders in the medical field.
“Lindsay is a leader on campus, in student government, and, most importantly, in her life outside the university’s walls,” said third-year student Bryan Peterson, the college’s incoming SGA president. “As a pre-doctoral osteopathic principles and practice fellow this year, she has had the opportunity to provide guidance in the world of osteopathic manipulative medicine to first and second-year students, thereby helping to educate the next generation of osteopathic physicians.”
