College of Pharmacy Professor Awarded the Chauncey I. Cooper Award
Barry Bleidt, Ph.D., Pharm.D., RPh, professor of Sociobehavioral & Administrative Pharmacy at NSU’s College of Pharmacy, was awarded the Chauncey I. Cooper Award at the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA) annual convention in New Orleans. The Cooper award, created in honor of the National Pharmaceutical Association’s founder, is the highest recognition given by NPhA. Recipients are selected for the award based on several designated areas including the amount of participation in community involvement and service. Bleidt is very committed to the mission and vision of NPhA and loves the work he does with the organization. He is recognized by his peers and students for promoting excellence and uniformity among minority health professionals to improve the quality of health care in minority communities. Bleidt was awarded this honor to recognize his sustained and distinguished service to the profession of pharmacy.
