College of Optometry Hosts American Optometric Association Official and Student Bowl

NSU’s College of Optometry recently hosted Ron Hopping, O.D., M.P.H., immediate past president of the American Optometric Association and his wife and optometry practice partner Desiree Hopping, O.D. After a day full of meetings with student leaders, faculty and administration, the Hoppings’ acted as celebrity judges for the college’s Student Bowl, a Jeopardy-style game that is conducted at optometry schools throughout the nation. NSU’s Student Bowl was organized by optometry student Micaela Crowley. The winners of the individual school competitions represent their schools at Optometry’s Meeting(r) this summer. NSU is the current co-national champion of Optometry’s national Student Bowl.
