College of Arts, Humanities Social Sciences (CAHSS) to Host Intellectual Conversations
NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) will again host its Intellectual Conversations. The conversations will be held noon – 1 p.m. in NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library on NSU’s Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus. The schedule is as follows:
- Thursday, Nov. 17 – Killing the Horse to Save the Cart: Musings on the Global Economy and Immigration, presented by Barbara Brodman, Ph.D., professor of history and legal studies, Department of History and Political Science. Thought many vehemently defend or decry the dominant global economic system – even with their lives and those of others – few actually understand the origins and theoretical underpinnings of that system.
The Intellectual Conversations program draws from the knowledge and expertise of full-time faculty members from NSU. The event is free and open to the public.
