College of Medical School Alumna Celebrates a First with Appointment to Board
Dana Block-Abraham, D.O., a 2007 graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, was appointed to a two-year term on the American Medical Political Action Committee Board of Directors, becoming the first D.O. ever to be appointed to this prestigious board.
Block-Abraham, who is currently pursuing a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at the University of Maryland, was also recently appointed to serve a one-year term on the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists’ Committee on American Indian/Alaska Native Women’s Health Care. She is in her sixth year of serving as a sectional delegate to the American Medical Association House of Delegates, representing its Residents and Fellows Section.
