College of Health Care Sciences hosts the Annual Dean’s Luncheons at SECs

The College of Health Care Sciences (CHCS) hosted the Annual Dean’s Luncheons at the Student Educational Centers (SECs) located in Jacksonville, Fort Myers, Tampa, and Orlando throughout the months of October and November. This event is one of the many initiatives developed to support and engage our CHCS students at the SECs.  The luncheons are designed to provide an opportunity for students, staff and faculty to personally connect with Dean Richard Davis, Ed.D., and allow them to share ideas, ask questions, and offer feedback. This year’s theme was “Viva Italia!”  Italian music, activities, decorations, and a delicious catered meal made the event fun and interactive.

In addition to the festive lunch, Terry Morrow, Ph.D., assistant dean of Student Affairs and Jonathan May, M.A., assistant director of Student Affairs, have hosted CHCS leadership trainings for the physical therapy, occupational therapy, vascular sonography, anesthesiology assistant, and physician assistant student government leaders . “Our goal is to help the student leaders identify their individual and collective strengths, understand university policies and resources, and set goals for the year. We recognize the importance of our student leaders in promoting a dynamic student experience and are committed to supporting their success and development,” said Assistant Dean Morrow.

Overall, the annual Dean’s Luncheons have been a success; a perfect opportunity to come together as fellow NSU Sharks and enjoy the time spent together.
