College of Dental Medicine Participates in Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital

CDM faculty and student participants at the JDCH Children with Special Needs Family Resource Fair and Teens' Transition to Life Summit.

The NSU College of Dental Medicine (CDM) faculty members and students recently participated in the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital’s (JDCH) Children with Special Needs Family Resource Fair and Teens’ Transition to Life Summit at the Signature Grand in Davie. They did a great job representing CDM’s Center for Craniofacial Pediatric and Special Needs Dental Care at JDCH, as well as providing resource fair participants with information about the CDM’s main dental clinic at NSU’s Davie campus.

Participating CDM students, who are also members of the student chapter of the Hispanic Dental Association, included Lina Alsad, Alex Snyder (class of ’14); Amanda Buscemi, Julie Ramos, Victor Lubin, Valentina Mata, and Lindsay Hill (class of ’13); and Karla Jaquez, Agustin Drubi, Arghavan Nasser, and Aimee Dehburogi (class of ’12). Participating faculty members included Sandra Brener, D.D.S., M.S., CDM assistant professor in pediatric dentistry, and Eva Chiang, D.D.S., CDM adjunct professor in the restorative and cariology department.
