College of Allied Health and Nursing Alumni appointed to executive position at Quinnipiac University

William C. Kohlhepp

NSU alum William C. Kohlhepp, D.H.S.c., a graduate of the doctoral program in health sciences at NSU’s College of Allied Health and Nursing, was appointed earlier this month to the position of associate dean of the School of Health Sciences at Quinnipiac University. In his new position, Kohlhepp will be responsible for working with the School of Health Sciences faculty and staff who are located on the Mount Carmel Campus. Betsey Smith will continue to serve as an associate dean of the School of Health Sciences and will work with the faculty and students on Quinnipiac’s North Haven Campus. Kohlhepp begins his new position July 1.

Kohlhepp, who joined the faculty of the Physician Assistant Program at Quinnipiac in 1996 and holds the title of associate professor of physician assistant studies, has held several leadership positions across campus, including chair of the Faculty Senate. He continues to maintain his clinical expertise in occupational health and has been active in both the state and national physician assistant organizations.

In addition to his NSU docotrate, Kohlhepp holds a master of health services administration from Quinnipiac, a bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Connecticut.
