Circle of FriendsThe Circle of Friends for the NSU Alvin Sherman Library presents “The African Presence in Spanish Florida: Black Seminoles” on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The event will be held in the Adolfo and Marisela Cotilla Gallery on the second floor of the Sherman Library.  Author Rosalyn Howard, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Anthropology and Director of the North American Indian Studies Program at the University of Central Florida will be the guest speaker. Light refreshments will be served at a reception prior to the Howard’s presentation, and a book sale and signing will follow. The event is complimentary and open to the public; however, reservations are required, and no walk-ins are permitted. RSVP: 954-262-4627 or libdev@nova.edu.
