ProQuest Statistical Abstract of the U.S. Database:

Published annually by the Federal Government since 1878, The Statistical Abstract of the United States is the best-known statistical reference publication in the country, and perhaps, the world. It is a one-volume, comprehensive summary of statistics on the social, political, and economic organization of the United States. Use this database as a convenient volume for statistical reference, and as a guide to sources of more information both in print and on the Web. The curiosity about the social and economic conditions of the United States has led many people the world over to the Statistical Abstract

It has 1400 statistical tables from about 400 different sources, which are identified below each table, this is ready-reference answer book  (“How much corn is grown in Iowa?”) and the best guide to statistical sources (“What organization has the most authoritative data on foreclosures?”).

This database includes monthly updates to tables, deep searching at the line-item level, powerful facets for narrowing search results, image and spreadsheet versions of all current and historical tables, along with links to provider sites.
