Chancellor’s Faculty Research and Development Grant Recipients Announced


Faculty Members of the Grant Reviewer Panels for the Chancellor's Faculty Research and Development Grants


The 12th annual Chancellor’s Faculty Research and Development Grant (CFRDG) and 9th annual Quality of Life awards ceremony and reception were held in the Don Taft University Center on May 24. Chancellor Ray Ferrero Jr., J.D. announced 32 research projects that were awarded the CFRDG grant, up to $10,000 each for fiscal year 2012, and he recognized the dedication and innovation of the 121 faculty members and 88 students who submitted a total of 56 proposals.


Kim Durham, Psy.D., NSU; Isabel Allen, 17th Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program; NSU Chancellor Ray Ferrero Jr., J.D.; Linda DeHoet, 17th Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program; and Barbara Packer-Muti, Ed.D., NSU.


The Chancellor also commended and thanked the faculty members and Broward Community Partners who represented the Quality of Life project submissions, including the Outstanding Community Partner of the Year, 17th Judicial Circuit, Guardian ad Litem program. A total of three Quality of Life grants were awarded this year under the following categories: Adults, Children and Families, Elderly Services, and Criminal Justice. Chancellor Ferrero thanked all who attended for their contributions and dedication to expanding research at NSU.
