Center for Psychological Studies Faculty and Students Present at National Conference & Convention
Students and faculty members from the Center for Psychological Studies (CPS) recently attended the Trainers of School Psychologists (TSP) Conference and the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Annual Convention held in Philadelphia, Pa.
The group completed 10 presentations and participated in 15 poster sessions. Additionally, CPS faculty member Scott Poland, Ed.D., a nationally and internationally renowned school psychologist, spearheaded parent group sessions attended by Philadelphia residents. Poland also presented a featured address entitled, “Safeguarding Our Youth: Promoting Emotional Well-Being and Resilience Through Crisis Intervention,” and taped a video on student self-mutilation. NASP President, Phil Lazarus, Ph.D. and CPS faculty member and Director of NSU’s School Psychology Assessment and Consultation Center Gene Cash, Ph.D., taped a video on suicide prevention.
Cash and CPS faculty member and current NASP Secretary Sarah Valley-Gray, Psy.D., participated in the NASP Delegate Assembly meeting, and Valley-Gray also participated in the NASP Executive Council meeting.
