Center for Psychological Studies Alumnus Invited to White House
Alumnus Bryant Smalley, Ph.D., (2010) was among only 24 rural health leaders nationwide invited to the White House to participate in a White House Rural Council, during which the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture announced new innovations in rural health care.
The event provided an unprecedented opportunity for participants to engage members of the president’s administration, including HHS leadership, on rural health interests and challenges. Smalley is the Founding Co-Executive Director of the Rural Health Research Institute and the Director of Clinical Training for a doctoral program at Georgia Southern University.
