Center for Autism & NSU’s Family Therapy Program Partner to Host Workshop for Parents of Children with Autism, Mar. 5
NSU’s Family Therapy program, along with the UM-NSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD), will host a workshop for couples titled “Maintaining Your Relationship: Couples Parenting Children Living with Autism” on Monday, March 5.
The free workshop will last from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the CARD offices, at 6100 Griffin Road in Davie. Registration is required, by calling 954-262-7111.
The UM-NSU CARD, based at NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler School of Education, currently serves more than 5,000 families in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe. It provides free family support, outreach, and educational support services to children and adults of all levels of intellectual functioning who have autism and autistic-like disabilities. In operation since 1993, the UM-NSU CARD is a Florida Department of Education project funded by an appropriation from the state legislature.
