Celebrate NSU Library’s Fun-Filled Fall Kickoff at a Wizarding Magic Show, Sept. 4
In celebration of National Library Card Sign-Up Month, NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library will host, “A Day of Magic” fall kickoff bash on Saturday. Sept. 4 from 1- 4 p.m.
This FREE fun-filled afternoon will give participants the opportunity to:
- Meet Professor MacGonnigal and hear her magical stories from 1 – 2 p.m.
- Participate in fun, magic-themed activities from 2 – 2:30 p.m.
- Enjoy the Wizarding Magic Show from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
- Create delightful take-home crafts.
- Win special prizes.
- And, of course, sign up for library cards!
While at the bash, don’t forget to also sign up for Sharkey’s Reading Club, which lets participants set reading goals and collect a new prize each month after reaching their target. Any child can join the club with an Alvin Sherman Library card.
As a special treat, the fun continues at two additional National Library Card Sign-Up Month Events:
NSU’s Day for Children on Sunday, Sept. 12. Visit the Alvin Sherman Library booth to sign up for a library card and enter a drawing to win a special Sharkey bag.
The Shermanettes present Silly Stories on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2-3:00 pm. Sign up for a library card before you enjoy story time!
