CAHSS Faculty Awarded Certified Journalism Educator Status

Megan Fitzgerald, Ph.D.

Megan, Fitzgerald, Ph.D., faculty in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) has been awarded Certified Journalism Educator status by the Journalism Education Association (JEA). This prestigious status has only been awarded to a select group of 625 individuals.

Fitzgerald’s teaching and research interests include print journalism, media law and regulation, and research methods. She is the faculty advisor for the student-run newspaper, The Current, the Society for Professional Journalists’ student chapter and the communication honor society, Lambda Pi Eta. In addition, she serves on the board of directors of the Florida Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Fitzgerald is in NSU’s Department of Writing and Communication.
