Career Workshop Helps Prepare Student-Athletes to Enter Real World
The Nova Southeastern athletic department, in conjunction with the NSU Office of Career Development, hosted a career workshop for student-athletes on Sept. 24 at the Don Taft University Center. A variety of athletes from all sports attended the event.
“Through our Career Cram session, student-athletes learn the important skills necessary to succeed in today’s competitive job market including creating a game plan for reaching career goals, writing an effective resume and cover letter, and making a positive impression on potential employers when networking and interviewing.” says C.A. Tolchinksy, Ph.D., manager of Student-Athlete Academic Services. “They were able to then apply the skills learned at the workshop during today’s career fair with employers.” Complete Release
